How shifting my focus to overall wellness changed everything.

NURTURING MENTAL & BRAIN HEALTH: A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO WELLNESS

In the journey towards optimal wellness, the interconnectedness of mental, brain, and physical health cannot be overstated. As we navigate the complexities of modern life, actively prioritizing our mental and brain health becomes paramount for overall well-being. In this blog post, I'll share my personal experiences and strategies for cultivating a flow and rhythm for overall wellness. I believe it is four different categories that you need to focus on and not just mental health, when I started focusing on physical, emotional, soul and mental/brain health everything changed and shifted. I have struggled with my mental health for over 20 years now. In grade 11 I attempted sucuide, by taking a full bottle of prescription pain killers that I was just prescribed for my broken wrist.

Since that day I have battled the darkness. Over the past 3 years I have dived deep in to overall wellness because I know I have a purpose and am far from done. Learning about all of these areas helped me in ways I didn’t know possible and overall have helped me bounce back faster to find the light and be able to help and serve and most importantly bring the joy!

We must focus on in these areas, focusing on physical health, brain/mental health, soul health and emotional health. This holistic approach has drastically improved my overall wellness and strategically taken my personal and professional life to the level I have been dreaming about for years.

Acknowledging the Importance of Mental and Brain Health

In a world inundated with stressors and demands, it's easy to overlook the significance of mental and brain health. However, acknowledging and prioritizing these aspects of wellness lay the foundation for a fulfilling life. Recognizing this, I embarked on a journey to actively nurture my mental healthy by committing to my brain health. This looks like a few very simple steps that annyone can make. Prioritizing sleep, eating to fuel my brain, reducing alcohol, and getting ruthless with what I consume from social media, music, and other outside sources. Your brain uses about 25 - 35% of your bodies fuel so it truly matters what you are putting into your body.

Seeking Professional Guidance at Aeon Future Health

Embarking on my journey, a pivotal step unfolded as I sought professional guidance and support. At Aeon Future Health, I discovered a dedicated team of experts committed to optimizing my physical well-being. Through personalized assessments and tailored interventions, I gained invaluable insights into enhancing cognitive function, managing stress, and leveraging incredible recovery technologies to maintain peak performance.

What sets Aeon Future Health apart is their holistic approach, integrating both Western medicine and natural methods to optimize health. While the investment is significant, the comprehensive analysis of biomarkers, a 3D Scan, baseline strength assessments, and access to a full team of professionals fulfilled a quest I had pursued for years. The convenience of having all services under one roof, with seamless access to my entire health profile, eliminated the fragmented experience common elsewhere.

Cultivating Mindful Eating Habits and Nutritional Excellence

In addition to physical activity, dietary choices play a pivotal role in nurturing mental and brain health. Understanding the intimate connection between gut health and cognitive function, I embarked on a journey to revitalize my diet. By prioritizing nutrient-dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, I nourished my body and mind from within.

Moreover, I minimized consumption of processed foods, refined sugars, and artificial additives, recognizing their detrimental effects on mental clarity and mood stability. Through mindful eating practices, I cultivated a deeper appreciation for the nourishing power of whole foods, fueling my body and brain for optimal performance and vitality. When you really think about it as fuel for your body to function well it has me pausing and asking - do I really need that? Is this the fuel that will take me to the next level? Is this true fuel?

Purging Toxic Relationships and Cultivating Positive Connections

Beyond physical nourishment, the quality of our relationships profoundly impacts our mental and brain health as well as our soul and emotional health. Toxic relationships, characterized by negativity and emotional drain, can undermine our well-being and impede personal growth. Recognizing this, I made a conscious effort to purge toxic relationships from my life, prioritizing emotional boundaries and self-care. In this process I have lost some near and dear friends. It has been super hard processing loss and grief in a different way. What has made a huge difference is remember that you are the same of the 5 people who you surround yourself with and that not everybody is meant to be a lifelong friend. Some people are a reason, a season and very few will ever be lifelong. Relationships will change, seek out meaningful connections, pour into others they way you want to be poured into and the good people will be there.

CONCLUSION

A Journey of Holistic Wellness

Working on your mental health is so much more than just your mental health. Stop focusing on just the one thing and remember that there are four different areas that you must take care of in order to see your over wellness improve which leads to better mental health. It requires a multifaceted approach encompassing physical health, brain health, soul and emotional health. By actively investing in these areas, I have cultivated a new rhythm and flow that transcends into all areas of my life.

As I continue on this journey of self-discovery and growth, I remain committed to prioritizing my mental and brain health, recognizing their profound impact on every aspect of my life. Finding a flow and rhythm that work best for you is hard work, but when you are fully committed to changing your life and becoming the best version of you it makes it so worth it. Elevate your health and you will elevate your wealth in every way possible.

With grace & gratitude,
